The timeless composition „Peaches en Regalia“ by Frank Zappa, first published on his album „Hot Rats“ in 1969 won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance in February 2009. It took 40 years for this masterpiece to take its place in the history of music, this time performed by Frank’s son Dweezel Zappa project Zappa Plays Zappa, including Steve Vai, among others. This is Vai’s 3rd Grammy Award, one of the other 2 won for another Frank Zappa composition – „Sofa“.
